In 2018 the foundation for the construction of the Liberi School was laid. The school is built in the countryside of Siavonga in the village Namachembele on the shores of lake Kariba. The Liberi project consists of 3 steps:

  1. Phase 1: build classrooms and outbuildings for year 0,1,2 and 3 (completed)
  2. Phase 2: build classrooms for year 4 and 5 and toilet block (start 2019)
  3. Phase 3: build classrooms for year 6,7,8 and 9 and outbuildings (start 2021)

The construction of the first phase consisting of: 4 fully furnished classrooms, toilet blocks, administration office, canteen and houses for the teachers has been completed. On the 14th of January the first 144 children went to school. Each class consists of 36 pupils of which 60% is female. The students mainly come from Namachembele, Siavonga.
